About the Northern Gas Pipeline Project

The 622km Northern Gas Pipeline will link Tennant Creek in the Territory to Mount Isa in Queensland, unlocking the next phase of economic growth for the Territory and help build a stronger Northern Australia.
Quick Facts:
- Construction of the $800 million Project began in July 2017.
- The first gas is scheduled to flow in late 2018.
- Jemena have awarded two construction contracts consisting of both QLD 481klm and NT 141km works

Qualifications to help you get a foot in at the Northern Gas Pipeline Project
- Relevant Trade Qualifications and / or NT/QLD Licences
- Occupational Health and Safety – Construction Induction (White Card)
- Australian Drivers Licences
- High Risk Work Licence for any required plant, eg. EWP, Forklifts, Mobile Crane, Loaders.
- Safely Working at Heights – for EWP workers
- Ability to pass Medical including Drug and Alcohol screening
- Dogging/Rigging/Scaffolding tickets
- CPR and First Aid Certificate

Northern Gas Pipeline Project Union Enterprise Bargaining Agreements
An Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) is a collective industrial agreement between either an employer and a trade union acting on behalf of employees or an employer and employees acting for themselves.
At this stage of the Northern Gas Pipeline project no EBA’s can be found, as they are found they will be uploaded into this article.
