This course is aimed at candidates who would like to gain exposure in / enhance their PLC, HMI and process instrumentation skills giving them the edge to enter the Oil & Gas Industry or any industry of preference – PLC interfaces with field instrumentation.

SCOPE:
This qualification provides competencies to select, install, commission, fault find and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment in buildings and premises and instrumentation systems and core instrumentation equipment for process and control. It includes ERAC requirements for an ‘Electrician’s licence’
ELIGIBILITY FOR COURSE ENROLMENT:
Candidates must hold a current Unrestricted Electricians licence.

UEENEEG105A – Those holding an ‘Unrestricted Electricians Licence’ or equivalent issued in an Australian State or Territory meets the requirements of this unit and its pre-requisite requirements.

COURSE OUTCOMES:
A) Full qualification – UEE40411 Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation
Graduates who are successfully competent in both theoretical and practical training completing all units of competency in the training package, will be awarded the UEE40411 Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation qualification.
B) Statement of Attainment (SOA) – UEE40411 Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation
This Statement is issued to a student who has successfully completed one or more units of competency but does not meet the requirements for a full qualification (as specified in the training package) and to Electrical Engineers.
